Tibetan prayer flags are displayed as a line of flags, seen together as a continuum with the accumulation adding to the power of the mantra they carry to the heavens. I have repeated three flags three times each, using color and image repetition to create a rhythm, or “song”.
Silk broadcloth, textile paint, fiber reactive dyes. Hand-dyed and silkscreened using original motifs.
Line of nine flags, each flag is 20" by 20", created 2013.
